For our client, an international company, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Supplier Performance Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Learning, applying, and reinforcing Nuclear Safety Culture Traits with our suppliers.
- Identifying, proposing, and implementing performance improvements.
Overseeing the prompt resolution of intricate technical and quality-related concerns.
- Project risk identification and mitigation, schedule management, supplier process document approval, process capability studies, measurement system analyses, design input for manufacturing, etc.
- Leading technical assessments of new suppliers for manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes & standards, and associated risks
- Leading Supplier development activities to implement or improve
- Supplier quality management systems and/or manufacturing
processes to meet requirements.
- Overseeing suppliers both locally and remotely to make that the necessary standards for quality and technology are met.
- Assessing procurement risk, getting feedback from stakeholders, and making use of available tools and resources to create plans for mitigating supply chain security risks.
- Examine market patterns and industry standards to maximize supplier performance and selection.
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering
- 7 years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge in manufacturing processes
- Machining, welding, assembly of components, I&C, etc.
- Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs, etc.
- Ability to identify key project tasks, develop schedules, manage spend
- Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Experience with nuclear products and standards desired
- Project Management experience desired
- Effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
