For our client, an international company, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Supplier Performance Engineer.The team is responsible for supporting the activities in component design, commodity strategy, and supplier selection for products / processes.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold the top production and operational standards in the industry, and cut waste by smoothly incorporating suppliers into procedures.
- Provide complete, high-quality parts on schedule and within budget.
- Predict and stop new problems with the delivery of materials.
- Design parts that are able to be manufactured,
- Overseeing the development and qualification of suppliers for new products, including process capability studies, measurement system analyses, project schedule management, approval of supplier process papers, risk identification and mitigation, etc.
- Utilize methodical approaches to problem-solving to drive continual improvement with our stamping suppliers through supplier evaluations and flawless launch procedures.
- In charge of complicated stamping issue remediation.
- Keep in frequent contact with colleagues in the SPE teams to exchange best practices, promote process standardization, and work together on initiatives involving global cost-out and continuous improvement that call for support from SMEs.
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering
- Minimum 7 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in stamping processes (Transfer, Progressive, Deep Drawn, and Fine Blanking, etc.) including tool and die design, stamping industry design standards and stamping press operation.
- Professional Certifications: Certified Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent experience and a development plan to pursue
